I never had allergies before I moved to Utah. It seems like some great reversal, since people talk about coming west to get rid of their allergies since there are fewer allergens and pollens out here.
So for the past two summers I’ve spent a good portion of my time sneezing, blowing my nose, and making a nuisance of myself whining about allergies. It seems particularly bad at work (where I work making an online chemistry textbook) and at my classes in the Benson. A few weeks ago I mentioned this to my co-workers and one of them said to me, “Well you must be allergic to science.”
“That’s too bad. There’s a lot of science going on in here.”
