I distinctly remember last summer feeling that our swamp cooler was wholly inadequate for cooling down the house in the summer. It was not as good as central cooling, and that was that.
Then I moved to Arizona this summer to an apartment that did have AC, but was even more truly not up to the task of cooling our apartment in 115-120 degree heat. Not to mention being pregnant, and then having an infant who did NOT like the hot apartment and refused to sleep in it (making for some long nights). Ever since we came back to Provo, I’ve been amazed at just how effective the swamp cooler is at cooling off the house.
It’s amazing what a little bit of perspective can do for you.
